Burn Belly Fat Fast

By Sean Cavanaugh

Are you ready to lose your belly fat for good? Have you tried every all new secret solution only to fail? The media has lied to you. Stop looking for the all new super fad diet pill and exercise machine. 99% of the advertising is total crap. So what's the real solution to burn off your belly fat for good?

Do you believe the magazine articles, radio and television commercials, your friends, trainers and gym rats? How are you to ever make any real changes when you are not even sure what is fact or fiction? Do you do sit-ups, crunches, cardio, take diet pills, supplements, or use ab gadgets such as the ab belt or ab roller?

Its time to separate the facts from fiction. How can you burn your belly fat and keep it that way for life? Forget about Weight Watchers or Slim Fast.

If your like most people you are not interested in doing ab exercises to strengthen the muscles. The truth is you want hot abs to make the opposite sex drool. If this is your goal then exercises that concentrate on the abs are not the best way to attack that belly fat.

Ab exercises simply do not increase your metabolism enough to burn the fat and get the results you are looking for. So forget about doing hundreds of crunches, sit-ups, leg lifts, and hours of cardio.

Multi-joint exercises are the key to belly fat loss. These full body exercises of the back, legs, and chest will release the fat burning hormones within your body. A good full body workout increases your metabolic rate enough to burn fat.

So when you go to the gym have your workout planned. Do bench presses, squats, dumbbell presses, and other exercises that concentrate on the big three areas - legs, chest and back. Leave the cell phone at home and don't use gym time to socialize. You need to make your workouts intense. Maybe 30 seconds between sets and 2 minutes between exercises.

Once you get the right workouts down don't forget to eat right. Feeding your body with the proper nutrients will have two results. You will not be adding anymore excess fat to your belly. And you will be giving your body the energy it needs to complete the exercises necessary to lose the belly fat you have.

Achieve More Success Without Setting New Year's Resolutions!

By Chaszey Sandhriel

A while back the Learning Annex asked me to teach another class on how to overcome procrastination. I remember thinking it weird that anyone who procrastinated would sign up for a procrastination class. Wouldn't they just procrastinate signing up?

If you've ever studied goal setting or the setting of New Year's resolutions, you undoubtedly must have heard that the average New Year's Resolution is out the door after the first 3 weeks into the New Year. Why is this?

The reasons are endless; some delay goals, some forget about them, others change them and so on. The main reasons are different for each person; a faster explanation may be as follows: Most people are putting too many goals on their list and aim too high and then try to attempt the path on their own and without support. In addition, most people are too hard with themselves and at the slightest inkling of what feels like failure, they throw it all away. To add to this misery most people have a tendency to share their ambitious goals with those that have no business of knowing about them in the first place, because it's as if they are just waiting in the bushes to pounce out and say: "Ha! I knew you couldn't do it."

There has to be a solution to changing our lives for the better - what is it?

First, inquire within. I am not kidding. Everyone is different about how they react to goals. To one person a test is their worst nightmare and to the next person his greatest reason for putting the nose into their books. To me deadlines are motivational, the tighter the deadline and the harder the task, the more I am turned on to getting it done. For others a deadline may be their worst nightmare.

Let's look at the infamous New Year's resolution to losing weight. It never fails that we are inundated with yet one more diet plan at the beginning of each New Year. To make losing weight a New Year's resolution in my opinion is stupid. Not only is it cruel and harsh on the body, it is especially unrealistic, overwhelming and an attempt to look into an attempt to put yourself into a strip down prison. One we're meant to break out of after the first 3 weeks in January.

Try this instead: Make it your goal to always feel great and fit.

Think about this, if you have one goal in mind and that is to feel great and fit, you have just stripped your scale of its rights. On the other hand, if you make it your goals to lose x-number of pounds then your scale becomes your say-all, your ruler, your king, your measuring stick, your boss. Instead let's keep in mind that our bodies care for only the following; bodies want to feel cared for, fed with real food, satisfaction is a must, loved, caressed, hugged, paid attention to and used for what it was intended to (to move you around).

Are you getting it?

Your body is all-wise, let it figure out how to lose the weight. Your body was created for on purpose only, and that is to get you through this life so you can achieve your purpose. The only thing for you to do is to support it in what it wants, give it real foods and obey it. Once your body feels that you're on its side and you give it nothing but respect, your body will give you a thousand-fold in return so that amazingly beautiful Being can come forth.

So this year make only one New Year's Resolution: Respect yourself and your body, love yourself and your body, pay attention to your Soul's wisdom instead of other people. Believe that you are protected by divine order. And the doors which open easiest for you in 2008 are the ones you are meant to walk through.

If you can make this ONE New Year's Resolution and stick to it each and every day, you will come to the end of 2008 and be amazed, surprised, and ecstatic at how easy things fell in place for you this year. Almost as if by magic...

So here is to your best year!

Why Your Next Diet Has A 95% Chance To Fail

By Debi Darline

Most diets are not effective in controlling weight over the long term. When dieting you may get a temporary weight loss but you are 95% more likely to regain the weight you lost after you stop the diet. Not only will you ultimately gain more weight but also progressively have more difficulty in losing the weight again. As most of you know this is called the Yo Yo effect.

Unfortunately, our odds are high we will regain all the weight we lost back. Even if we gain just the weight we lost previously, the result is the weight gain will be more fat and less lean muscle. Why? Please let me explain.

Humans originated about 200,000 years ago, due to the harsh conditions, our bodies created a defense mechanism to protect itself from starvation. When the fuel (food) shortages are detected by the body, our body's defense mechanisms will start. When this happens the body will assume that the shortage will last awhile, and our body then reprograms our system to protect itself by reprogramming for starvation mode. Changes in the metabolism, hormonal productions, and psychological systems occur. This reaction is hard wired for self preservation and cannot be fooled no mater what some information my state.

Theses changes consist of decreased metabolism, loss of muscle, increasing the fat storing enzymes & hormones and reduce the fat burning enzymes & hormones. Also it will cause the body to decrease the thyroid output, increase the appetite, decreases your energy levels, and affect your mind responses. Think about your normal work day, it's about 3 o'clock, your hungry, you just can't seem to get enough energy to get to the office across the building and your just brain just tanked! We need energy and the body will begin to use it energy storage

The body doesn't burn fat the way we would choose it to. Before I studied the process I thought that the body would first burn the fuel we have consumed recently, then burn fat stored on my belly and abdomen. No such luck! Don't we all lose one of the best body attributes first! Like myself, I have an apple body, broad shoulders, round belly and thin legs and thighs. When I begin to loss weight, I begin to look like a basketball on stilts! UGH! I also notice it becomes harder to climb stairs because my legs are so weak. I now recognize I have loss lean muscle tissue! Not Good!

When the body is triggers into what is called Starvation Response mode, it begins to look for a ways to conserve energy. Muscle is the number 1 burner of energy, so getting rid of some of the muscle will reduce energy consumption. This reduction involves all muscle groups, including your heart. Go to http://MyDietForWeightLoss.com/Starvation-Mode for more information on Starvation Mode.

To have a calorie deficit, you must burn more calories than you consume in any given day. There are two ways to do so.

1) Decreasing the amount of calories you ingest. 2) Increase the amount of calories your burn.

Do not starve yourself by following a low calorie diet, but instead reduce your calories by just a little amount, say 500 calories a day. To carefully burn fat, you must exercise. The more your exercise the more muscle mass you will have. The more muscle the more calories are needed for those muscles. This method is the best way to burn fat and keeps it off. Just because you are increasing your lean muscle mass does not mean you are bulking up.

Actually, it may seem backwards but eating more of the right kinds of food and exercise to burn off the fat is the healthiest way for you to diet. Exercise allows you to create the calorie deficit. It also burns the fat without losing muscle and slowing down your metabolism. Eating more gives your body the vitamins and minerals it needs were low calorie diets does just the opposite.

You will be amazed at the results your will quickly get when you combine, nutrition, cardio, and weight training.

Tips In Getting The Best Cheap Treadmill For The New Year 2008

By Chloe Adisson

A few more days to go and it will already be the start of 2008. You know that you will soon be feasting on food this coming Thanksgiving and Christmas season. The calories will be feasting on you too. Get the best cheap treadmill to start the 2008 New Year right.

In most cases, the higher the cost of the treadmill, the higher the quality as well. This is also true if you only know little and you are in a hurry to get the purchase done right away. Take your time and understand what you are buying.

First of all, do not believe in sales hype especially if it's coming from the manufacturer or dealer. Getting the best cheap treadmill essentially requires you to figure out how the entire system works.

All treadmills do the same thing. As soon as you turn it on and use it, you are aiming for a cardio vascular exercise, weight loss, and burn calories. That's just basically it. The price of the treadmill now varies on competitive features.

1. One of the most important things to look into when choosing the best cheap treadmill is to check on the motor. The ideal minimum should be 2.0 horsepower and anything lower than that may not be worth your money.

2. Read treadmill reviews from professionals. The treadmill guru's personal ratings and recommendations may help you a lot in deciding which ones to buy. The premise of course is that these pros may favor at the more expensive ones.

3. Product reviews from consumers are helpful too. There are so many websites that allow treadmill users to comment on the products they use. Their opinions can also help because they have used the equipment themselves.

4. Just because a treadmill is manual doesn't mean that it qualifies as best cheap treadmill. Yes manual treadmills are cheap but if you can afford to buy the better ones, then do so. You should buy equipment that can last longer and is much convenient to use.

5. Treadmill belt should be checked if it is in good condition. This is another piece in the treadmill that is important to look into. Make sure the belt is perfect for you to use. Check on the safety as well.

6. A treadmill's warranty offer and service speaks a lot about the quality. Most reviews tell you that a good warranty should be at least 5 years on the motor, 2 years on frames and parts, and a year on service.

Other than the above-mentioned, there are still other points about a treadmill that you should consider before buying. There's the framework, cushioning system, and other extras like the accessories and stuff. Manufacturers take advantage of improving these treadmill extras because the standard treadmill gets more expensive when more features are added.

There is not one best treadmill for everyone. It all depends on what you know and how much you are willing to spend. At the end of the day, you will know that what matters most is your own judgment. It is understanding which treadmill is really worth your money.

Got Weight?

By Chaszey Sandhriel

Does your weight make you feel like you're behind bars?

Even for Paul life was a mystery and he wondered how he is doing the things he doesn't want to do but the things he wants to do, those he doesn't do.

Another way of saying this is that we are built to break rules. As humans we are meant to find freedom and testing and breaking those rules is part of this human experience. Does this mean that we are here to be stubborn and purposely create drama to get people upset - of course not. However, eating a meal big enough for 3, and then hoping that our bodies love us for it can not be called true freedom. We have to remember that we do live in the real world and there are consequences to all of our actions. At the same time, we are told that the greatest commandment is love and that love never lets us down.

So if love never fails, what does that tell us about the 90% of diets that continually fail? Yes, you guessed right: not much love there

So what if we approached our bodies and our overall health with an amazing love that is tender, instead of submitting to someone else's diet - especially knowing that our deep rooted goal is to break free from rules, especially other people's rules.

There are three ways we can start to be loving towards ourselves:

1. The nutritional label reading thing: it's gotta go. I believe that we are made to believe that by reading those things we are gods who then can force our bodies into creating different chemical components for our bodies. Reading the ingredients is a much better and simpler approach. The less ingredients the better the product. And make sure you understand them, because so will your body understand them.

2. Stay away from foods that say "fat free," or "light." Look at a bag of candies, often they now say "fat free" and that may be true. However, the content of these bags are pure chemicals mixed with some corn byproduct, which your body has absolutely no idea what to do with it. So it turns it into pure body fat. Just because you give your body a fat free product doesn't mean that your body won't convert it into fat. Remember that your body is a pure chemical laboratory and it can create anything it needs or has to in order to protect itself from harm. Your body's one purpose is for it to stay healthy for as long as you allow it, so it can carry you through life in order for you to carry out your life's purpose. All we have to do is learn to get out of its way, to stop playing God and to listen to what our bodies tell us.

3. And by all means do not buy foods that are not really foods. For example, if it states on the label that it can't believe that it's not whatever, then don't believe it. If the product itself can't believe you're your body won't know what to do with it either. Much better than fake sugars is to give your body natural sweeteners, such as agave nectar or raw honey. There are also sugars from trees that are excellent for diabetics and does not require a birch tree to be cut down. Our bodies this way know exactly what to do with the foods we feed it and it can convert the contents into needed nutrients. Feeding our bodies fake and manufactured foods only creates confusion for our bodies, which in turn might reject what we feed it all together or make our bodies turn the contents into pure fat or create havoc such as diabetes, high blood pressure and so on.

Safe And Effective Natural Weight Loss Products - Part 2

By Dr. George Best

Part 1 of this article contains background and additional information. I'll now continue with my overview of natural weight loss products.

One of the most popular weight loss products in the last few years has been hoodia gordonii. Hoodia is hard plant to find, and therefore Hoodia supplements tend to be expensive, and some products sold as hoodia have little or no real hoodia in them. The real hoodia plant does appear to markedly reduce appetite and therefore it can be helpful for weight loss. It comes in both pill and liquid form. When taking the pill form, I suggest a dose of 500 to 1000 mg per day taken in divided doses one to two times per day before meals. Liquid doses vary depending on the concentration of the liquid, but for a 20:1 extract, I suggest taking about 30 drops or so, one to two times per day.

Hydroxycitric acid assists in weight loss by stimulating glycogen production and storage, which in turn suppresses appetite. The recommended dosage is 500 to 1000 mg per day split into doses taken 30 to 60 minutes before each meal.

L-Leucine or BCAA (Branched Chain Amino Acids) can be used in dosages of 1200 to 3000 mg per day for the purpose of fat burning and muscle building. It is recommended to split the total intake into 2 or more doses per day taken between meals.

Pyruvic acid, also called pyruvate does seem to promote weight loss, but only at high dosages. Not everyone's stomach can handle the high intake, but for those who can tolerate it, you can use 8,000 to 10,000 mg per day for up to one week at a time to trigger fat buring initially. When using pyruvate long-term, you would do better to lower the dosage to 2,000 to 6,000 mg per day.

Wu-long tea, is an Asian black tea that also appears to assist in natural weight loss, both through its effects on suppressing insulin release (which enhances fat burning) as well as by suppressing appetite. This is taken as an actual brewed tea, as opposed to a pill form.

5-HTP (5-hydroxy tryptophan) can help with weight loss in daily dosages of 50 to 100 mg divided into 2 or more doses taken with food. It should be avoided by women who are pregnant or are breast-feeding. Only purchase 5-HTP products that have been tested and certified as being clear of the contaminant known as "Peak X". If you develop joint or muscle pain or experience breathing difficulties, cease taking 5-HTP and seek medical attention. When clear of contamination, 5-HTP is safe and effective, so these cautions are intended as warnings in case of the rare instance of receiving a contaminated product.

7-Keto DHEA (note that this is not the same as regular DHEA) has demonstrated the effects of increased metabolic rate and increased lean muscle building and fat burning. It is best taken in two or more doses with meals for a total daily intake of 100 to 200 mg.

Hopefully you now have a better understanding of the available safe and effective natural weight loss aids and will be able to better choose which products will best suit your specific weight loss needs.

Effective And Safe Natural Weight Loss Products - Part 1

By Dr. George Best

Some products promoted as natural weight loss aids are not particularly safe. Products that act as stimulants, even if they are "natural" can be hazardous and despite the fact that they may promote fast weight loss early on, because they cause the body to overproduce the stress hormone cortisol, they actually promote weight gain in the long run.

So, what supplements and products are there that can safely and effectively enhance natural weight loss? Well, first of all we need a reality check. Nutritional supplements and herbal weight loss products should be considered an aid for weight loss, not a weight loss program in and of themselves. Even the most useful of the natural weight loss supplements (and for that matter, even diet drugs) provide only very modest benefits when used alone, without also being on a good diet and exercise regimen.

In order to get maximum benefit from any natural weight loss product, you must combine it with diet and exercise. No matter how good the advertising sounds and no matter how much you want to believe that a pill or potion is all you need to lose weight, the simple truth is that diet and exercise are absolutely necessary to effective lasting weight loss.

With that in mind, there are certain weight loss products available that do improve the efects of diet and exercise. These products may act through suppression of hunger, increasing metabolic rate, or by preventing the digestive tract from absorbing fat. The following is a summary of those products you may find useful:

Chitosan is a supplement that prevents the absorption of fat from the food that you eat. It is derived from the shells of shrimp and similar marine animals, so it is not appropriate for anyone with shellfish allergies. Chitosan, by blocking fat absorption essentially decreases the amount of calories you absorb from a meal. Chitosan can cause loose, greasy stools and sometimes a loss of bowel control, so be careful with it at first. In addition, because it blocks fat absorption, it can also block the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, which are A,D,E, and K. Because of this, I do not usually recommend chitosan, but if you do use it, you may wish to supplement with the fat-soluble vitamins between meals. A reasonably safe dosage for chitosan is approximately 1500 to 3000 mg each day split into equal doses taken before each meal with at least eight ounces of water.

Chromium nicotinate can be taken at a level of 200 to 400 mg per day, preferably split into two or more doses taken with meals. It should be noted that this recommendation is for chromium nicotinate, NOT picolinate. Although chromium picolinate is often promoted as a supplement for weight loss, and it may in fact be an effective weight loss aid, the research on the picolinate form of chromium for weight loss has been contradictory, but there has been consistent indication that the nicotinate form does enhance weight loss.

CLA, or conjugated linoleic acid can be taken in doses of 300 to 600 mg taken before each meal (no more than 1800 mg per day). CLA has been shown to promote fat burning and the development of lean body tissue in laboratory animals, but the effects in humans remain uncertain.

Green tea extract can be taken in total dosages of 100 to 400 mg per day, recommended to be split into two or more doses per day and taken between meals. Look for standardized extracts containing at least 90% total catechins for best results. Catechins from green tea appear to increase metabolism, and this occurs separately from the metabolic effects from the caffeine in the tea. Although the naturally-occurring caffeine in green tea tends to increase the effects of the catechins, because of the previously mentioned adverse long-term effects on weight loss from the use of stimulants, it is recommended that decaffeinated green tea extract be used.

I'll continue with more popular natural weight loss aids in part 2 of this article.
